Depending on the day the dining room might be divided anywhere from five or eight sections and it’s the duty of the opening host to assign each server a section. Some of the duties that both opening and closing hosts share are to check the restrooms every twenty minutes and clean them when needed restocking the restrooms, and cleaning the main entrance door every twenty minutes as well. Host also help bussing tables and delivering food to customers. The duties of closing the host are different than the duties of an opening host due to the number of team members presents. During closing/mid shift there are four hosts, two team members serve as cashiers, one as the hosts and the last team member is packaging deliveries and bringing them to the delivery area.
