It could be helpful to see how trading worked with the Native Americans along with other interactions other than war. As stated in the second quotation, the colonists had little agricultural experience so they needed to establish a relationship with the Natives in the area. In the first quotation, it shows how they eventually were able to start trading and using each other’s currency. In one of the artifacts, it shows a Native American trading fur with the colonist which was common at the time. In addition, since it’s well known that there were pilgrims and puritans at the time, it would be interesting to see what other types of religions did people follow. Given that we can only guess and see one side of the story, all of the information we can get about artifacts are helpful. For instance, the most helpful thing to know is the name or title of the artifact and when it was given. Like with the Seal of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, knowing that it is a symbol of their colony shows how they viewed their interactions with the Native Americans.
