The oldest son was not even mentioned or named in the will at all. The grandson was the sole heir for the will but he was not present during the trial which does not make since either. During this trial I was very confused by these two things.
The second hearing I saw was a sentencing done by Judge Margaret C Miller. The sentencing hiring was only a half an hour but there were many terms used with in that half an hour. There was a defense, the attorney that is trying to prove someone is not guilty of a crime, and a prosecutor, the attorney that has to prove that someone is guilty of a crime, at this sentencing hiring. The judged allowed an oral testimony from the defense to true and prove his innocents. Since, the defendant only committed a minor misdemeanor, a small crime, the judge lowered the sentencing.
Going to court was a very interesting experience, I did not realize how much preparation actually goes into a going to a trial. If you do not understand the terms and phrases that the court is using, you will be very lost. I’m glad that I had the chance to sit and watch a trial and truly understood what was going
