Even though, just like every diet there are risks. When you avoid the grains and wheat involved in foods with gluten, your diet now lacks many needed vitamins and nutrients. Without these vitamins, people on the diet will face deficiencies in things like iron, calcium, thiamine, niacin and more. Another risk of the diet is that since the amount of fiber taking in is so low, constipation and problems with digestion can be seen (Baker 2014). Acquiring to be gluten free not only changes your diet, but it also changes your vitamin levels, your digestive system, and your immune system as well. The gluten free diet takes a lot of label reading and caution when eating because it is such a hard diet in this day without the amount of foods that have gluten inside them.
