The illusion of free will was one of the first topics discussed in The Illusion of Conscious Will. Do we really have free will? What lead to me making that decision? In the first chapter of The Illusion of Conscious Will we were introduced to the terms causal agents which can be broken into both internal and external causal agents. Internal causal agents are agents that are more personal, like your emotions or past experiences that lead you to have those emotions. I am unable to hide my emotions due to the fact that my facial expressions are a dead giveaway. I have seen the concept of The Naked Face not only with my own expressions but more often on those of others. The fact that our facial expressions are often involuntary they can lead to the concept of Facilitated communications. When I am communicating with my friends or they with me, we can see based off of facial expression that we are displaying how we should act around them. If we are smiling it is often means that we are in a good mood, or if we are cold looking or blank we might want to see if they are okay. Facial expressions dictate the way that I chose on how to approach someone or how I want someone to approach
