Two hundred and forty years is not a long enough time for American to throw the ideals of Jefferson that appealed for a better life and a better future, where all humans are treated equal. Two hundred and forty years is not a long enough time for Americans to forget that they once lived under the tyranny of a conqueror, and that they must have mercy upon other people and use the power they possess wisely. Nevertheless, it took great bravery for Americans to send such a document to their tyrant, and to establish themselves in such a short time, something that maybe other minorities and countries living under tyranny should probably take as an example, or as a beacon of hope to keep looking towards a better
