I was never big on t.v shows, or fan-fiction novels. However, one day I turned on netflix and saw that a new show was added, Sherlock. Intrigued, I watched one episode, and from their I binge watched the whole season, and am still a huge fan to this day. The t.v show got me more interested in Arthur Conan Doyle’s character Sherlock Holmes, and so I cracked open the century’s old novels, and fervently read them within a week. The Sherlock Holmes saga impact who I am today, because Sherlock Holmes is the perfect anti- hero. There 's a reason that these novels were and are still so famous, and that is because they reflect on society wants, and of human qualities. Sherlock is a flawed man, very humanistic, yet he is detached and also a hero. The fact that he is flawed doesn’t put him on a pedestal, however the extraordinary mysteries he solves, and the way he does it, intrigues and captures the heart and imagination of every young youth. The novel is full of thrills and mystery. My favorite being The Hounds of Baskerville. It is said that as a person grows older, they start losing their imagination, however, the Sherlock Holmes saga, helped delay that. Through Sherlock, I was able to hold on to my childhood imagination, and intrigue of super hero’s and vigil anti’s, while also being eased into the adult world of reality, and
