Today’s society is constructed of stereotypes based on our cognizance of the world that we live in today and what is surrounding us. Throughout the writing, Emily analyzes and creates a description based contrast of the two reproductive parts, the sperm and the egg. The sperm is usually emphasized as the dominate reproductive part while the egg is the opposite and deprived in a way. The sperm is considered to be the engaging contributor. It is apparent that these demonstrations suggest the usual stereotypical gender roles through the representations she suggests. With saying that though, these gender assumptions and roles that we have adapted to are not too natural in a sense. They have been simply formulated and have established an unconscious assimilation through a stereotypical gender basis. As people behave within range of these stereotypes, they start to behave appropriately with these stereotypical misconceptions.
