This was proven by brain scans being carried out on Schizophrenic patients. On the occurrence of hearing delusional voices, doctors were able to detect the same area of the brain being lit up as when spoken words are being formed. Such research intrigues me to further my knowledge and increases the need to delve deeper into and explore such interesting areas of psychology and neuroscience and how it all links to mental health. In order to tackle challenges well, it is important to keep one-self updated with the dynamic developments taking place every day in the field of psychology. Religiously keeping updated with resources such as, the British Psychological Society’s journals and other surrounding news related to the subject has allowed me to build up on previously acquired knowledge and gain a substantial amount of understanding to study psychology and neuroscience of mental health. I believe studying Biology till A-level has also helped me understand more about the human mind and why may different individuals carry out the same task but in a number of different ways, and also how the decision making differs between people too .I believe that our thoughts have a direct effect on our behaviour, both mentally and physically.
