Some people get confused with the characters. ‘Was Frankenstein evil, or the monster?’ I believe that his character was not a force for evil, even though he created life, I don’t think he was aware of the destruction the monster would become. If Frankenstein’s actions and choices were handled differently, the ending could have taken a turn for something not as bad. He had a very immature personality, bringing the events for the worst. Other characters involved in the story responded to him with care. His family and friends were by his side every time he fell ill. In Frankenstein, light and fire are the symbols. Lights symbolizes knowledge and discovery, and I believe Frankenstein was best associated with this. This symbol, light revealed his purpose of the story. Every scientists goal is to reach light, to find the secrets and hidden messages within which he accomplished. Moments after he was brought to life he was abandoned by his creator. From here, he began to integrate himself in the world which led to him being shunned by many. He had the mind of a newborn, he had no idea why he was treated with such poor behavior. People judged him based on his looks, his physical features. The creature himself was not very fond of his appearance. He began to seek revenge on his creator, the person that made him look this way. This led to Frankenstein only growing more hatred towards this creature. The monster wasn’t purely filled with evil. He too, had his strengths and weaknesses in the story. One of his strengths is, his persona traits which were good. He was a friendly creature searching for love and to be accepted. He did teach himself and to speak. Although, he the monster did have weaknesses. For example, he sought revenge after being disrespected for quite some time, instead he should’ve accepted his appearance. This creature was very, vindictive. He would stop at nothing to seek revenge for his creator, Frankenstein. His character traits were both good and bad. He had a heart that was filled with nothing but love and friendliness, which is why he was so willing to help the family he came across earlier in the story.
