The Populists were exactly as it sounded, for the people. Rather than being focus on the messy part of politics, the Populist brought out some actual issues such as eight hour work days and a method in which voter’ choices in an election are anonymous. At this time in history, the political world needed a party that had reasoning and meaning, or at least more meaning than getting to appoint someone to office. Populist had wonder through the causes behind having big business running the United States. They notice that the railroads, telegraph and telephone companies were successfully they were controlling the whole country. For this reason they wanted the government to be in control of these three things. Farmers were one of the major’s supporters of this idea because of the low crop prices. The people of the United States would have lost most of their rights to big business affairs without the grow of the Populist Party. Although the Republicans and Democrats had their own problems to deal with, they were more focused dealing with money. The laissez fair is the idea in which the business operated with a little interference from the government as possible and the democrats supported this idea. It is my believe that they encounter their freedom from being part of a political party and establishing solutions that can help the people issue. Their freedom started when the government were running the railroads, telegraph, ect, and the farmers started getting better work conditions and a better way for voting. After the Populist rise and did a pretty good work in the political stage the country started to get better for the people. Thanks to the populist we have a better government system and they gave us some part of freedom we still have
