Finally I think I have practiced many styles of leadership over the years I am currently trying to practice servant leadership as described in Robert Greenleaf 's book The Servant as Leader. He sates Servant-Leadership is a philosophy that relies upon: principle-centeredness, working through people, giving direction and support that serves to help people. It is an empowered choice that any individual can adopt who seeks to serve and lead for in their personal life. Additionally he notes, an organization is comprised of many individuals who make the choice to work in collaboration to achieve the mission of the agency, or make a choice not to do so. If all, or at least the majority of individuals choose to work harmoniously, then the systemic affect of these individual choices crafts a stronger organization. The two main points to remember for me is Whom do we serve? and For what purpose do we serve?
