While attending the student will gain valuable skills and work toward a four year degree or earn a two year certificate to prepare them for a good job. We must build a Community college system that matters. Colleges must offer two year programs that transfer to the four year universities (Fact Sheet). Colorado has already taken that step with the Guaranteed Transfer credits and additional arraignments with almost all the public, and several private collages. Community colleges must also offer degree programs and certifications that are in demand by employers (Fact Sheet). Front Range has already taken steps to ensure quality certifications such as automotive technology, computer aided drafting and computer information systems. It does not have to be this way. With this free college plan everyone that wants an education can get one. Local Senators and Congressmen have the power to ensure Colorado is a world leader in education, technology and inventions by supporting the president in making community college free for all United States citizens. Is it possible for a student to get a quality education at a reasonable price? It is possible and probable if the elected officials inform the Federal Government that Colorado cares about its citizens and chooses to be a leader in education
