The Beatles started out as a high school vocal group known as The Quarrymen that was formed by John Lennon, the leader of the Beatles. Each member of the Beatles soon joined the group and gained their reputation by performing in clubs in Liverpool, England and Hamburg, Germany. Their manager was Brian Epstein. He signed a contract with EMI records. The Beatles performed three different types of music genres. For instance, the Beatles performed Indian music, psychedelic, and hard rock. Popular songs that the Beatles performed were Twist and Shout 1963, Come Together 1969, and The Sun 1969. The Beatles’ music had a big influence on music and it’s people. For example, they raised the bar for teen idol quality, pioneered in music videos, raised the bar for psychedelic music, held the first satellite broadcast, and introduced advanced recording techniques. The Supremes were originally known as the Primettes. The group consisted of three group members. For example, the members of the Supremes were Diana Ross the leader of the group, Mary Wilson, and Florence Ballard. Berry Gordy rejected them when they auditioned because they were too young. He finally signed them in 1961. Ten of their first fourteen hits went to number one on the charts. They changed the face of music because they inspired the world that anyone can sing no matter of what race you are. The group unfortunately disbanded when Florence Ballard decided to leave the
