Essentialism teachers teach the common knowledge subjects, they do this is a way that is orderly. The teachers set intellectual and moral standards and focus on teaching their children about those. Progressivism is where they believe that they should focus on the student not the content or the teacher. This is achieved by getting the students to should learn by doing hands on activities. Reconstructionism is when the teacher focuses on noting the social questions to help make a worldwide democracy. This is achieved by the teaching being focused by social reform. Eclecticism is a teaching style that includes multiple of the other ways mentioned earlier. It is achieved by using the different ways that the other teaching styles use to teach. Miller and Mrs. Robidou had completely different teaching styles when it came to math. Ms. Miller was more of a lecture, she would tell us how to do things. She really did not even use the board much to show us either. Mrs. Robidou on the other hand was way more into her teaching, she was always doing activities with us, doing problems step by step with us, and gave us mini projects to do. When it came to homework Ms. Miller gave worksheets that were due the next day, sometimes they were long and other times short. Mrs. Robidou gave homework of course, hers was just more of a hands on learning experience. They both wanted the class to learn what we needed to but understand it at the same time. To make sure we were understanding them Ms. Miller would do daily timed practice sheets, Mrs. Robidou would go through a practice problem then have us do some. They both always helped us if we needed it, and they were both understanding when it came to being confused about what was going on. They were always looking out for us and making sure we were going to be the most prepared we could be for school and later on in
