The Kristallnacht also known as the night of broken glass was a period in history where there was a massive attack on Jews through the German Reich on the night of November 9, 1938. It all began when a 17 year old boy that happened to be Jewish shot a man from the Germany embassy staff. Things went downhill from there very quickly. I mean like dangerously quick if that makes sense. On October 27, over fifteen thousand Jews were banned or expelled from Germany without any notice at all. But this is only the beginning with The Night of Broken Glass. On November 8, mobs and mobs of violence went down the streets and would violently beat and kill Jews, they would vandalize homes and would make women and children suffer. People all over Germany had smashed Jewish stores and homes without any regret. Sooner or later Thousands of men, (approximately 25,000 men) were gathered and all sent to concentration camps. In a concentration camp, your hair is shaved and your personal clothes are taken away and you are given a uniform. Every day you stand there in nasty cold gross weather and you stand still for hours at a time while a list of processes and instructions are read to you. Germans were out to kill you. There was so much negativity in the air. Literally in the air because it was in newspapers and all over radios. See what I did there? I tried to make a funny anyway. But continuing on, On November 12 I think it was, a meeting was called by top Nazis, they were to meet in Germany to discuss the amount of violence that is happening and how it has been taken way too far with the Jews. It took place in Germany. Funny right, it takes place in Germany where most violence is happening. Not much common sense used there but anyway.
