In the middle of the book That Summer, (where I last stopped reading) it started off with Haven at her house waiting for her father to pick her up and take her out to dinner. Haven’s dad did this every Thursday, so Haven expected it. They went out to a fancy Italian restaurant called Vengo, and they saw many people including Sumner. After eating Italian food and catching up with Sumner, Haven’s father took her home. When she got home, she walked into a fight between Lewis and Ashley. They all still live in Lakeview,her dad just lives in a different house with Lorna.
Day 6: character
In the middle of the book that summer, the part before Ashley's wedding, Lewis’s family was introduced into the story through a dinner. They were supposed to talk about the wedding, but Lewis’s family was filled will hatred as they heard about Ashley and her family. When Ashley got home from the dinner there also was another new character in the story. The “duck dog” was the neighbor's dog that was called the “duck dog” because it barked like duck. Sumner came back into the story as well. He now works at Vego (the Italian restaurant Haven and her dad ate at). As he caught up with Haven’s family and told them all what was happening in his new life, one of Haven’s dad’s friends came up to them to talk about sports casting. …show more content…
Now, there is mainly problems in Haven’s own life between mixed feelings, and flashing back to good times with Sumner, that she can't forget. I think that Haven is on the verge of going crazy about everything because she is just holding her emotions
