Like previously stated, how the pharmacy career is developing is very dear to me and that is why Chapter 7, “Professional Socialization of Pharmacists,” is important to be. I believe that chapter 7 will not only benefit me as a future practicing pharmacist but as a current student as well.
Chapter 7 discuss how we must be more than a licensed pharmacist, we must be socialized. According to that chapter, socialization can be defined as the process in which people obtained the skill, behavior, belief, value, or attitude (the culture) expect as a pharmacist. In addition, chapter 7 mentions how this term is critical to change the career of pharmacy from a dispensing type of position to a more patient-centered profession. From this passage I learned
