Standardized testing is not a reasonable measurement of student comprehension. The material that students should be learning has been manipulated into a score rather than knowledge of the material. Education itself is now solely based off of tests and not if the students know the material or even know skills that will help them out of school. The school system is no longer teaching students, they are only providing students with enough information for a test and that is it. Standardized tests today play a predominant role in schooling and now measure superficial thinking. Tests are just resources that are used as a game is and kids simply cannot win the game.
