Throughout his whole life, he was nothing but helpful. Thomas cared for the well being of others over himself. No one truly understands what it means to live a life of poverty until you live one, but from one I know, it take courage—that he is not short of. Thomas was very wise, he could have grown up to be a lot of successful careers, but instead he donates all his time and money towards the Dominicans. That earns him a lot of respect in my book, because that is something I would never be willing to do. I believe St. Thomas Aquinas brings so much to the table if he was around today. Simply put, he offers his intelligence to society which we could not have enough of. He really knew and understood the faith, so I feel that with him around there would be a lot less questions or gray areas. Thomas’s book on our theology is approximately 3,500 pages, so it is fairly safe to say he is educated in this field.
