Scientific research is conducted utilizing the scientific method. The simple version of the scientific method is that scientists ask a question, create a hypothesis, experiment, collect data, and then draw conclusions from that data (How Science Works, 2018). Furthermore, this data is then communicated to other scientist in books, conferences, and most importantly their results are published for their peers to review (Module 1: Module Notes, 2018). The peer review process ensures that data is sound, not prejudiced, and or fictitious (Module 1: Module Notes, 2018). The Science Tool Kit is a tool that has you question where the information came from, is the information portrayed accurately, is the scientific community confident in the data portrayed, is it misrepresented or over sensationalized, where is additional information, and lastly how strong is the evidence (Module 1: Module Notes, 2018).
