The initial positions and motions were used to deduce how likely a single football player is to experience a concussion with each stance. It is later concluded that the 4-point position poses many dangers for American football players due to the increased likelihood of concussions. Thus, 2-point and 3-point sprint positions are the better choice for football players although they can negatively affect performance. As a result of poor performance, safer sprint positions tend to be frowned upon by audiences because they cause players to encounter reduced speed. Sprint positions are merely the ways a football player positions himself on the line of play immediately before the ball is snapped. However, since birth I have been surrounded by a family who loves the game of football. American football games are meant to be entertaining for groups of people to watch and bond over, which is where my bias is derived from. I believe that most football players understand the risk of sport-related concussions yet choose the more dangerous starting sprint positions because it increases their likelihood of beating the defensive lineman to the ball. For instance, in the National Football League it is the players’ job to play football and entertain their fans by winning games. If a player decided to begin using a 2-point starting position, it would reduce their speed and their excitement factor from the audience. Because I believe that it is more fun to watch players with a 4-point starting position, I am bound to dislike the other sprint positions and perceive them as negative additives to the game of football. Starting sprint positions contribute to the speed of football games, and health risks should not change the way football is played in the United
