Sports agents are there for their clients on and off the field. They deal with all the legal parts of trading and buying players for different teams. Sports agents negotiate salaries, bonuses, and compensation. They solve disputes of any size, and can represent their clients in court if they are brought up upon criminal charges or lawsuits. Sports agents stand as their clients spokesperson when it comes to legal disputes and also assist clients in choosing charities to fund. As of September 2015, salaries for Sports agents range from $38,530 to $ 484,790 annually. The median salary for a Sports agent is $64,200. On top of the annual salaries, bonuses for Sports agents range from 3%-25% on annual pay. Although the pay for some Sports agents may be extremely high, others may be paid lower amounts. On top of the clientele a Sports agent is representing, the location of the agent may dictate the pay. In a survey taken to see how salaries vary from state to state, it was soon seen that the pay can vary greatly. In California, the average Sports agent is paid $126,330, but in Tennessee, the average Sports agent is paid $50,840. The difference between these two states is $75,490.
