An intervention was supposed to be introduced, but his agenda only included talking about Badgercare since the family had not been able to complete that as their last session goal. He wanted the family to move forward with that, so that hopefully that would ease some of the expenses of future appointments. In other reflections, this writer felt that everyone needed to use silence as the social worker. In this session, the writer felt there was too much silence. The silence didn’t feel like silence that was supposed to help clients reflect, but more like unprepared silence. The social worker had good ideas of discussing problems/challenges, but when the clients were asked, he took the first answer that was given to him and did not explore if there was more to the answer. If the social worker works on asking open ended questions, he won’t get such short, quick answers. This will help him in the future to develop important conversations with his clients and not have that awkward unprepared silence. He just needs to work on “digging” a little bit deeper and exploring client
