As technology has advanced, so has advertising, which have used the advancements of social media to their advantage. Pepsi and Coca Cola is an example of this. When Pepsi sent out an ad of a Pepsi can that had a Coca Cola cape that stated “We wish you a scary Halloween!”, Coca Cola retaliated with the exact same ad but with the caption “Everybody wants to be a hero!” . In ten or twenty years from now, the competition will be even more intense due to needing to find new and unique ways to promote their product. Since in the past decade technology advanced rapidly, in the next ten years, technologies advancement should be very well advanced, so advanced that holographs would be common to see around. 3D holographic advertising is being used today but it’s not very common. Nike launched 3D holographic street signs in Amsterdam to advertise their shoes . In the future, holograms would be everywhere and be used extensively by the advertising industries.
