Overview
Remember the first week of the Social Innovation Project lesson, Madam Safura brief us on the overview of the module and also shown us a video of the past year student project. She has also given us a list of topics and recommended project statements for our group to discuss on what we want to do. Our group created a Whatapps group chats right after the lesson ended. We had discussed our topic and problem statements during the weekend. After some discussion in the Whatapps group chats, it seems that Jacqueline and I have the common topic that we wanted to do while others have no objection. Design thinking tools has been all along applied in our Social Innovation Project, in which we are currently doing it for this semester. Some of the methods that we had used are (POEMS, interviews/observations, clustering & insight-gathering, Persona), and from this design thinking methods we can empower ourselves to realize that we can create our own future by borrowing frameworks from other areas, which allows us to design our own participation and experiences. One of the examples that we had applied the design thinking method was the clustering and insight-gathering.
During week four, which is right after the interview, our group member summarise and translate what was interviewed, into Microsoft Word. This is the process where interviews and observation method transform to clustering and insight-gathering. We came back on the week five during lesson. We started off with some sharing of our experience during interviews and then we process on with our clustering and insight-gathering. During the clustering and insight gathering process we have to observe what the interviewees has said and cluster them into different sectors. Besides that we need to give all the different sectors, a heading and understanding what are their needs and insight. This was done so because it will help us have a better understanding of their lifestyles and needs so as to easily combine them when doing
