Driving at 55 miles per hour is more fuel efficient and the only way we have to worry about efficiency is because Back in 1973 the United States was in an oil embargoed by Saudi Arabia by five percent. Even places like the back roads or country roads you should have your own ability to drive at a speed you sure you can manage without harming anyone that is on your way. That is where you should be able to go the speed you want not what you are told because what's the point of a place that is meant for speeding and you're going 55 miles per hour? As claimed by the article “do speed limits matter?” it is reported that “in 1973, when we had a 75 miles per hour speed limit on rural interstates in ten different states,there was 90 percent or better compliance with the speed limit in those states.”
