In 1776 the country that we now call the Untied States of America was formerly known as the confederacy until 1789 then the United States was born as a constitution republic. The reasoning for the change was to make a stronger federal government for the national government. The confederacy was to weak to defend itself from inserection from the people or from other countries that had large standing armies. But by having a strong central government took away power from each of the states. It was an attempt to stay secure and stay soveriegn. Did it work?
So why did the confederacy fall were we had to scrap it and make a whole new one. Was for the funding father felt that the confederacy gave to much power to the states and not enough to the national government to protect it self . But confederacy didn't having a strong powerful government to tell what the states what they can and cant do ,or the people with in the said state .
