Macbeth was quite jealous of this, in fact he said, “The Prince of Cumberland! That is a step on which I must fall down or else o’erleap, For in my way it lies. Macbeth really believed he was going to control Scotland because of the three witches’ telling of their prophecy, he gained too much confidence. Harvey was doing good and intending to keep doing so, in the process he was gaining compliments and people expected great things from him towards Gotham city, Harvey gained too much confidence. In the end, both Macbeth and Harvey had tragic endings to their own lives from the poor decisions they made, excessive confidence, and just a little bit encouragement to make the poor decisions that led them to their deaths.
