Saturn
Saturn is the second most biggest planet in our Solar System. The planet was mostly named by the Roman and Greek gods. Apparently the name Jupiter as well as Saturn was named after a Greek and Roman gods. Saturn was the “father” of Jupiter in the gods. The arrangement of the planets from the Sun, in fact, go Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and the dwarf planets including Pluto. Saturn is the the 6th planet away from the sun. Because it is the second biggest planet, Saturn absorbs a lot of sunlight. In fact, the average temperature of Saturn is 288 degrees fahrenheit [ minus …show more content…
Which means that 764 Earth’s can fit into Saturn. Think about our planet now. And we thought Earth was big. Usually the color of Saturn is around a palish or orangish color. But even with a more complex telescope, you can see Saturn’s colors mixing in a little bit of orange and white. In fact, again with a more complex telescope, you can see the storms swarming Saturn. There are so many storms on Saturn that the planet itself is called a Gas Giant. The Gas Giant planets include Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and obviously Saturn. The “gas” or atmosphere of Saturn was mostly made out of hydrogen when it first formed. Now the remains of the formation, Saturn is somehow a little bit made out of helium. But the atmosphere, now, includes Nitrogen and Oxygen. Saturn has several moons. To be exact, Saturn has 62 moons. The three most main moons of Saturn are Titan, Dione, and Enceladus. The most important is the Titan moon. The Titan moon has a very heavy atmosphere and the diameter is 50% larger than Earth’s. Saturn also in fact has clouds. The clouds swirl Saturn just like the clouds swirl in our atmosphere, but the magnetic field is 578 times more powerful than
