While the boycott movement sparked a worldwide interest, that was not her intention. Parks was more of a silent leader. She did what was right when not everyone was watching. She did not set out to make history that evening. Before that day on the bus, she was never one to break rules. Because of her silent actions and success thereof, Parks inspires me to approach my problems humbly and peacefully.
Within Rosa McCauley Parks, I find the strength and courage to fight for what I desire, and what I believe is right. Her actions have shown me that, despite the challenges that arise in life, giving up should never be an option. She has taught me to resist and never be satisfied with unfair treatment. Parks is the perfect example of what peace can lead to.
