The Native American tribes valued the land as life comes from the land, it is where you return after death. They believed in taking from the land without destroying it. They participated in rituals that honored the land and the animals that they used to live and survive.
They perceive the world as cosmos, which was created by god or dedicated to a god. Cosmos is considered sacred. While chaos is not, chaos is considered an interruption of the sacred. A religious person is scared of the chaos. Someone in chaos is comparable to nothingness. In cosmos a person is closet to god and will have the ability to communicate with god.
Secular humans will view the world without sacred. It has not been presented to them. They would not have the same fear of chaos as a religious human being, but that means that would also not have an understanding of cosmos, and that connection and happiness within the cosmos.
When a person enters the cosmos they have left the ordinary or the normal. They have transformed themselves into the belief of the cosmos. As a place where they can communicate on another
