The orphan children are not white not white, male, nor property owners and are excluded from that privilege of life. Non- citizenship theory concept applies directly to them before the government got involved, they were ignored, pushed around, and abused. Which leads to being denied their social citizenship which is the rights to social services, like shelter opportunities, food or clothing availability. This affected a lot of working women most were immigrants, some from Poland and Italy. They were as young as ten years old working in these factories, because they needed money to support the family. But in this factory called the triangle factory the working conditions were very strict. Workers had to pay for electricity and thread, they were working on electric machines so there could not be mistakes and if you did you would be charged for them. The supervisor would not let workers stop for anything, not for some water nor the restroom, they also would back check each and every worker before leaving premises. To make sure they wouldn’t miss anyone from stealing they locked the second door they had so they only left one unlocked that they had to leave through. Unions were being created everywhere but the triangle factory did not want to make that happen. In 1911 a fire began on the eighth floor by a cigarette the fire had spread a lot until anyone from the ninth floor could notice. Two hundred workers were on the ninth floor, old ladies couldn’t jump around things to escape, some jumped out the window to their deaths. The door that was unlocked had been blocked by fire and the second door was clear, but it was locked. Since the fire departments ladder only reached to the sixth floor, it was useless. One hundred and forty five deaths occurred on that day. It took this
