Jia Jiang had asked a man for 100.00 dollars yet when the man told him no he got scared and ran away. Looking over the video Jian Jiang told himself “What a wasted opportunity. Fear had turned me into a mumbling idiot” (Jiang 27).In The Wonderful Wizard of Oz the lion said “I should have run myself I’m such a coward” (Baum, Denslow 31).Both Jian Jiang and the lion let fear rule their life and ended up losing out on opportunities. Rejection is very hard to overcome yet with Jia Jiang simple techniques he is able to overcome them and so are the characters from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. By overcoming insecurities, using self-improvement and having a clear mission they are able to overcome their rejection. Dorothy and Jia Jiang wife lifts Jia Jiang and the scarecrow up when their insecurities are too much to handle. The lion and Jia Jiang use overcoming fear to self-improve and the Tin Woodman and Jia Jaing use a clear mission to overcome their rejection.
