Paul teaches a lesson about the humanity of Jesus Christ. He explains that in order for Jesus to rescue and restore mankind back into an acceptable relationship with God again Jesus needs to live a perfect human life. This means that Jesus needs to obey the expectations of his father and the almighty Lord our God. Philippians chapter two relates to my life because as a Christian I know that Jesus is the only one who can live a perfect life. As a human, I know I am a sinner. However, I have comfort through Jesus Christ that my sins are prayed for and I am forgiven. Apostle Paul explains to the Christians the joys and encourages them, through church, to continue to spread the word of Jesus our savior. Paul portrays this in Philippians 3:8 when he says “I have suffered the loss of all things, and can’t them be rubbish so that I may gain Christ.” What Paul means by this is that truly he has given up everything in his life for the knowledge of Jesus Christ, which is worth more than all that he has lost. What he lost was nothing, so that he may have Christ as his reward. Apostle Paul is starting to see the true meaning of Jesus Christ and he knows that Jesus Christ will be our savior for all of humankind. This chapter relates to my life because church is a place where God should be worshiped. As a little girl my family and I went to church every Sunday morning. It was a time that we got to spend time with each other and also thank our savior. As we continue to grow and get older going to church has dropped down our to do list. However, I would like bring it back up to the top. Being here at Wisconsin Lutheran College has helped me strengthen my faith. I feel that I am continuing to become closer with God through chapel and church on Sundays. I am able to thank God for all that he has done for me and take the time to worship him through song and prayer. I know that my faith can only get stronger and that is what I intend to work
