Animals, humans, and plants are what make this planet a wonderful place to live besides the oxygen of course. As the human race continues to expand our demand for food especially meat goes up. The human race has develop the technology of agricultural which helps feed the mass number of humans in this planet. With the over use of the land humans expand or move on to different places, places that are too close or on top of the homes of many plants and animals. Humans think that this is there right to do, without thinking of the damages they are causing on the animals, but to the whole human race. The human race is responsible for the loss of many homes to animals such as monkeys, leopards, birds, and many more. The one I truly want to focus on is a new world monkey, a species of monkeys that can only be found in Mexico, Central America, and South America, the Alouatta ululata also known as the Red-Handed Howling Monkey, Maranhao Red-handed Howler Monkey, and Maranhao Red-Handed Howler. This monkey is a beauty in the making.

They are becoming endangered due to mass the extreme deforestation of their home. They live in humid palm trees in usually in the state of Maranhao. Sometimes they are also found in dry forest or semi-deciduous forest. They can be found in the humid slopes of Serra da Ibiapaba where the terrain is so steep that they are safe from hunters. The hilltops are protected by the Permanent Preservation and makes them inaccessible from the hunters were they can roam freely. Today conservation actions have them secured in the Lencois Maranhenses National Park, Maranhao, Ubajara National Park, Ceara, and also in Serra da Ibiapaba Environmental Protection
