Islamophobia is a term meaning anti-muslim racism. In today's world is a major problem, people are targeted everyday. My uncle is a Muslim and practices the faith while living in America. When I was about 6 years old I remember asking my mother why my uncle seemed to be a darker color than the rest our family. She replied by telling me that he is Muslim, meaning he practices a different religion but it still means he is the same as each of us. Hassan, my uncle is from Egypt. The media is portrayed that people from their and in the country are all “terrorists.” Through the eyes of racist human beings they target muslims since the outbreak of 9/11. As known the crime of this day was committed by Osama Bin Laden , a muslim man. Since this time muslims have had the racism towards them that they hate Americans. Seeing my uncle as a have been growing up, I know this is not true. It is essential to engage racist people on understanding the muslim culture. The people should have learned to accept. Because of your skin color, religion, race, etc no one should be treated unfairly. This time period should have people reflecting on the holocaust. No one should have been treated unfairly and poor because or their religion. Now in 2018, discrimination should not still be a problem.
