“Capital punishment is a legal penalty in the United States, currently used by 31 states and the federal government.” (Wiki) “The death penalty is applied only for murder involving an "aggravating factor" such as multiple victims, rape, or robbery.” (Wiki)There are different levels of policing in the U.S then Canada. As Said in Wikipedia, “Policing in the United States is conducted by close to 18,000 federal, state, local and city departments. Every state has its own nomenclature for agencies, and their powers, responsibilities and funding vary from state to state.” (Wiki) An example of Federal police in the United States would be the FBI. Another example of State policing would be Capital police. The last example is local, and city policing would be the L.A police department as they are within the …show more content…
“In Mexico 93% of crime goes un-reported. Persons violating Mexican laws, even unknowingly, may be expelled, arrested, or imprisoned”. (country reports.org) The reason why crime goes un-reported is because it is a very corrupt government system and policing is corrupt in Mexico. Prison conditions in Mexico can be extremely poor. “In many facilities food is insufficient in both quantity and quality, and prisoners must pay for adequate nutrition from their own funds”. (country reports.org) In Mexico the policing is known for being paid, bribes or not trustworthy policing. Some officers are even with the drug cartels. “Law enforcement in Mexico is divided between federal, state, and municipal entities. There are 366 officers per 100,000 people.”
