Promoting Culturally Diverse Classrooms To be quite frank, I had trouble finding articles that pertained to the different types of schools. After much searching I found out that Urban School districts always seem to be growing. This is great because it means more jobs for new teachers. However, it could potentially lead to higher class numbers if there are not enough teachers. In Charter schools, there seems to be a higher emphasis on going to college. While I personally believe that my college education is right for me, I think that being a tradesman is just as valuable as college, and that charter schools likely do not emphasis that option to students. Suburban schools tend to have a higher amount of specialized programs and magnet schools. This can be great for the students who want to excel. I do not feel like it is my place to stop people from living the lives they want/need to. I feel that I am pretty open-minded, and I like learning new things and getting new perspectives, so I do not feel like I would have any problems asking questions to parents, or of anybody, as I do not want to be a teacher. I feel like GLSEN would be a great resource if I were to be a teacher, but will probably be something that I take a look out, just to learn more for myself and to be able to relate more to any potential guests I meet working in the
