The first article that the government modeled by is the Constitution. The constitution had “determined to create a strong national government and address the shortcomings of the Articles of Confederation, which allowed the states too much power.” In many ways the people realized that the balance between federal government and the states do not exist. People start to see that the Constitution favors the federal government rather than the states. With the federal government having a little more “freedom” than the states many people start to interoperate the concepts of federalism. Some advantages that a person may have “includes elections decisions, that need to be inclusive/ open, they let third-party-voters participate, they increase Independents’ participation in general election, independent voters base are growing, and they demand more from voters in assessing the candidates.” While, some of the disadvantages that the people may have include “ the undermining party affiliation and voter participation, they are disincentive engagement by core party activists, and they have lowered turnout by eliminating clear choices.” Within these advantages and disadvantages throughout Texas, people start to see of it is actually worth taking day out of their own busy life to vote. This is also one of the main reasons of why the voting turnouts have been lowering each and every year that voting has turned
