Democrats will say he did the best he could. Should we look at the unemployment rates? The national debt? The GDP? If Lincoln were elected president he would have the same statistics if he was elected right after a recession. Republicans will say Obama did nothing while at the same time for 8 years strait they promised to never vote for anything. Ok, gay marriage is a law and a right, but was it Obama, or the supreme court? Ok, he didn't put many boots on the ground in Syria, but are american or syrian lives more important, tough question. No matter how you look at it, you can twist it to your personal preference. W. Bush did so much damage to the U.S. especially in foreign affairs and Obama pick up his slack. In just a couple months Trump has destroyed all of those relationships that Obama took 8 years to build. Look at Great Britain for example, they were a world super power for centuries and for the most part disregarded foreign relationships. Now the are no longer in that position. The U.S. needs to learn from that. This is the sad state of U.S. politics, forever in a political deadlock, and republicans are happy with that as long as Democrats cant do anything.
