Too often these people are bullied and disrespected at the hands of others that lack empathy and understanding. And no sole sub-group within the community is discriminated against more so than another—no matter age, class, or race, if a person identifies as LGBT, they’re attacked on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity, specifically, for no better reason than that they’re different from those doing the bullying.
