Many groups of individual who do not have the proper access to primary care become at high risk for a lot of deadly and harmful diseases because they are not receiving the preventative care needed in order to catch certain diseases early. Sadly this is a commonality amongst certain groups and health care professionals can’t provide the best treatment options because the illness may have become too advanced. Freudenberg and Olden also go into great detail on the certain groups that are at higher risk for certain diseases because of they increased exposure to certain environmental conditions. Many different groups are more exposed to certain harmful products such as alcohol, tobacco, foods high in fat, etc., (Black and Latino groups have higher rates of obesity, white males are more likely to consume alcohol, and American Indians/Alaska Natives are more likely to be cigarette smokers) and this has added to the growing number of disparities in the U.S. (Buchbinder, S.
