From the age of 8 to the age of 16, I have participated in the local humane society fundraiser for homeless animals. Meeting my GPA is not only a goal for me, it is a sense of accomplishment. Even through middle school, I was required to meet a GPA of 3.0 or better to get on the honor roll and I managed to succeed at that. When I entered high school, I was determined to see my name in the local newspaper for the honor roll students and so far, I have. I’ve always known that grades are more important than anything. If you have a good GPA and ACT score, you can get accepted into more colleges.
To achieve a goal, you have to work for that goal. When I was thirteen, I made a promise to myself that I would buy myself a truck by the time I was fifteen. I started that summer by creating my own lawn mowing and pet sitting business. I saved all of the money I earned from that summer and the following summer. By the time my fifteenth birthday rolled around I had saved over four thousand dollars. This was enough money for me to buy my first truck, just in time for my birthday.
