I emailed an old coach of mine and we started doing hitting sessions for three days a week during the summer. When I got back to school I had a chip on my shoulder from last year and I was going to show everyone why I was so highly touted coming into the 9th grade. I realized what my coach had done for me also. He was looking out for me as a person more than a player. The lazy person cannot succeed in life it just doesn't work that way. People who put in hard work day in and day out are the ones you see succeed. My junior season I made the team by coming to every off season workout and practice. By the start of the season I was in the starting lineup for my team. The feeling you get coming from rock bottom after getting cut and then starting for the team was amazing. The emotions hit me hard especially looking back on being a little 9th grader who was cocky to getting cut and then making an impact for me team. I thank god and my coach everyday for what they did, because if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be the player or person I am today. Failure is part of everyone's life, don’t let it define you, but make something of
