The airplane tilted slightly to the right and began a slow and steady turn. Below, the capitol looked like square plots on a huge map. Small cars heading down two-way roads came into view, as well as enchanting various colored homes that brightened my window. I felt my ears pop, and I opened my mouth in an attempt to release the pressure that was making me feel uncomfortable. The wind howled as the airplane made its final turn onto the waiting runway and ended with a mild rumbling as the tires kissed the tarmac. Soon enough, people got up around me and were scavenging for their belongings. My parents got up and signaled me that we could get off now. The feel of excitement hit my body. My grandparents would be waiting for me inside the airport. I slept through the entire day. As I got dressed, I headed downstairs to the kitchen. None of my family members were there. I checked the living room and found nothing. I wondered where they could possibly go. I saw the front door slightly opened, I opened it and found my entire family outside on their patio drinking coffee. Everyone was awake and softly talking. I came up to them and lovingly hugged my grandparents, uncle, and parents. The morning sun gleamed at our faces, and the fog slowly disappeared from the mountains in the distance. My parents were making plans to go out in the city with their old friends, and my brother was planning on hanging out with his childhood friends. I planned on staying in the country and helping my grandparents with their chores. As noon hit, my parents and brother went their separate ways. As they left, my grandma and I let the animals roam around their acres of land. The cows and sheep raced to the land with full speed. I enjoyed being out in the country. Nothing but- mountains, clouds, and small views of nearby cities calmed my head. Being five years old, I felt like I had the entire world right in front of me. Before I came, I never seen mountains, or acres of land in person. It’s different seeing it from your t.v than in real life. My grandma and I sat in the grass while the animals roamed.
