When Katie tried to get off at the shopping cart, her mom responded to her and said, “You might fall and sit down properly.”
2. Provide 2 Positive Discipline Strategies Redirecting: This is to change the activity or focus of the child to an acceptable one. The technique calls for the adult to make an accurate assessment of what the children really want to do. I chose this strategy because I want to change her behavior into an acceptable one. I will talk to her properly at her level and say, “It looks like you really want that toy, let me finish looking around and let’s eat first and then we could come back and see the toy you have wanted.”
