Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge, is a story in the time of the American civil war. Peyton Farquhar is the protagonist of this short story. He is betrayed by a north scout in to Farquhar own trap. This lead up to his trail, where he was going to get hanged. The being to the story has the realism of how people went to trail, and were executed by hanging them of a bridge. In the film we can see the Farquhar facial expression, and see everything he sees and observes too. As he closes his eye before death he recaps happy moments with his family. This is something that many do before death, car accident, or traumatic situation. We humans going in to a flashback of things that happens in our lives. As Farquhar gets hanged, and falls in to the river he escapes death. Once in the water he does his best to untie himself from all the ropes. Its victory for Farquhar at this point. Once he is swimming up, and looks around he feels relief. In the film we can see the character’s facial expression of “yes, I made it this far, and alive.” Farquhar is viewing life differently since he is getting a second chance, and looking at mother nature, and see its beauty to it.
