The city of Omigawd will soon be undergoing some major changes. The state has altered policy to allow marijuana and all marijuana-based products to be legal. In addition, the government has declared a release of all inmates in the state sentenced for “gun crimes.” Each new policy has the potential to have positive and negative effects on the Omigawd Police Department and the state itself. The purpose of this paper is to present scenarios for each new policy implementation and challenges that come along with those scenarios. In sum, using some past research on the subject, the findings will suggest a thorough contingency plan for the city of Omigawd to follow when each policy is implemented on May 1, to help maintain the welfare of the state. …show more content…
