At the time, Johnson attended the University of West Florida, while pursuing a degree in environmental resource management. She used this experience to write a thesis project as a school assignment.
Williams and Johnson submitted the proposal and NRCS responded to emergency created by the natural disaster to approve technical and financial assistance to conserve the natural resources.
“Why is another question? It is important for the future of the land and water; everyone should provide a service without monetary imbursement. It is important to be a part of something bigger than self,” said Linda Johnson, Earth Team Volunteer.
